Here are some photographs of events that took place in the Xena Palace, which was later called the Warrior Palace, but is now dead.

The Final Palace Party - 28th August 2005 at 3pm ET - including "Death of the Palace"

The Palace was due to die, and the final party was held. The palace had been going for seven years. Warning ... the last four photographs are of the palace's demise, and may evoke feelings of nostalgia and sadness in any former palace visitors.

The Palace has an anniversary party each year, and this was it's sixth - the Palace has been going for six long years. In Web terms, that's like a million years.

Not the Palace - Runescape Two - Monday 1 December 2003

This is not really anything to do with the Palace. However a few palacers also play Runescape, and in December 2003 Runescape Two was released in beta-test mode. I went in there and tried it out, and for the benefit of non-members who can't access RS2 yet, here are some photos.

The Palace Halloween Masquerade Party - Saturday 1 November 2003

As is the tradition, on the weekend nearest Halloween, there is a masquerade party. Everyone comes into palace with avatars they don't usually wear and new names. People start guessing as to who everyone is. Everyone had a lot of fun at the party..

The Palace New Years Eve Party - December 31st 2002, Various Midnights

There tends to be people celebrating New Years Eve in the palace each year, and 2002 was no exception.

The Palace Halloween Party - October 31st 2002

A tradition in the palace is to have a Halloween party. Starting at 8pm NYC time, everyone was to arrive with a changed name that no one would recognise, and an avatar that no one had seen them with before. Then people started guessing who everyone was. The last person to be guessed was the winner.

EVeryone had a great time. The actual time to announce a winner was about an hour, and the winner was .... GABBY!!!!!! After that of course some people hung about and chatted.

The Palace Reunion Party - September 21st 2002

A reunion party was held, to let all the old-timers to catch up with each other (although of course everyone was allowed). There was to be a schedule, involving various events, including a Yahtzee tournament. However as you will see not everything went to plan. (The best laid plans of Godesses and Wizards......)

You can see some photos of the event here. The event started at 5pm NYC time (although there were people gathering up to half an hour beforehand), and ended five and a half hours later.

The Palace London Mini-Gathering August 2002

This was not a pre-planned official gathering, but Bsquared was going to be in London unexpectedly, so at the last minute a mini-gathering was formed. It took place from Friday 16th August to Sunday 18th August.

The Palace Virtual Gathering 2002 - 11am NYC Time on Saturday 20th July.

The official Palace 2002 Gathering was held on 19-21 July in New York City. About 20 attended. As not everyone could attend, an unofficial gathering was held in Montreal, Canada. Also 3 people held another 'gathering' in Madrid, Spain. In order to show that even those who could not make it in fact, were there in spirit, a virtual gathering was held on the Saturday. Mostly this was held in iVisit, however Annie left and came back in on Yahoo Messenger. Most of the time was spent reconnecting, and not everyone had webcams, but it was a lot of fun. I took some photos and developed them. Highlights to look out for are Annie sticking out her tongue, Lena who had such a good connection you could almost see her head move, and the spoon.

By Betsy's count there were 40 peope in attendance representing 7 countries and 3 continents.
