Every Sunday at 7pm New York Time we used to have a Palace Games night. At the moment these are suspended.

TO SEE DETAILS OF OTHER REGULAR EVENTS, GO TO THE Warrior Palace WEBPAGE.

Getting to the Warrior Palace.

Warrior Palace - This link takes you to the palace, which is the successor to Whoosh! Warrior Palace, which in turn was the successor to the Xena Warrior Palace. Remember you can always to go the Warrior Palace webpage.

InstantPalace link for Warrior Palace - This is a way to get into the palace direct from your browser. Very hande if you're on a PC and you can't download the client software, or if you just want to check out the palace without the hassle of downloading. However you cannot play games or draw using this software.

When the palace is down (which is seldom nowadays), a back-up palace where people congregate is; WWNS - The WWNS Palace using the address, if you can't get in try a second time, finally try - WWNS - the WWNS Palace using the number.

How do you find out what time the event is on in your local time zone?

Firstly, remember the chat or event is at for example, 6 pm in New York. Secondly, you should know which time zone you are in, or a major city which is in the same time zone as you.

Now go to the Greenwich Mean Time Site - and click on the link called 'Find Time - Major Cities in all time zones'. You will see down the page many cities. Click on a city and you will get the time zone the city belongs to, and the current time in that city. Therefore you should be able to work out how many hours ahead or behind New York you are. (If you're not sure what time it is in New York, click on that city first.) (The GMT site is part of the Greenwich 2000 site.)

If you find the Greenwich site confusing, here's The Time Zone Converter - which lets you convert from one time zone to another. You can either choose to use the 'current time', or else you can enter in a time of your chosing. For example, enter the time of the chat, that is 17:00:00 hours on 16 December 2000 at the top, and click off the 'Use Current Date/Time' check-box. Now choose 'America/New York' in the 'From Time Zone' colume, and in the 'To Time Zone' colume choose your own time zone or the city in your own time zone. Click on 'Convert'. For example if you enter CET in the 'To Time Zone' colume, you are told that this time is 11pm in the Central European Time zone, and that Daylight Savings Time is not in effect. (The site's front page is at The Time Zone Converter Main Site )

Also try The World Clock - Time Zones - which shows you the current time in several major cities. It also has many options, including letting you sort by country or time zone. (This is part of TimeandDate.Com)

Another converter is at The Timezone Converter - which lets you Specify the time zone, time and date to convert from, and the time zone to convert to. You must know the time zone you are in.

Also try The World Time Server as recommended by Betsy. Or this link, The World Time Server.

Don't understand time zones?

GENERAL SITES ABOUT TIME ZONES
http://atm.geo.nsf.gov/ieis/time.html - this isn't a good site in my opinion.

http://www.cnn.com/WEATHER/worldtime/ - Needs macromedia shockwave to be downloaded. It lets you convert from City to City.

http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/tzones.html - A US web page with useful explanatory information. (Maintained by the US navy.)

http://www.cstv.to.cnr.it/toi/uk/timezone.html - Another page with explanations.

http://www.timeticker.com/main.htm - Required Flash-Shcokwave plugin, and Java. (It's a very clever site, although I don't like the color scheme.)

http://www.worldtimezone.com/ - Another site with maps and stuff.

TIME ZONE CONVERTERS (I'm not suggesting these are preferable to the converters in the above sites.)

http://www.worldtimezone.com/ - What time is it in.....

http://sandbox.xerox.com/stewart/tzconvert.cgi - Converts from time zone, time and date, to another time zone.

AND OF COURSE, http://www.rog.nmm.ac.uk/ - Royal Greenwich Ovservatory.

Any comments regarding this page please e-mail me. (But remember I have no official connection with the Palace). (If you have Netscape then Bill Gates doesn't want you using that e-mail link, there's a feature in the software that might stop you. If you have problems using it go straight to "Breen@fromlondon.freeserve.co.uk".)
