Part 8 - On acting......on Eve's character.
Actors have different approaches to 'getting into their role'. Adrienne is asked about her approach to acting.
TRANSCRIPT:
Moderator: Deargicca says: "I remember a clip of Lucy and Renee looking down and seem to be preparing internally before a scene was going to be shot. They were getting makeup. Does this really happen, and do you do it as well?"
Adrienne: I actually had one director tell me that Livia was my Drag queen alter ego- so I could go as far as I wanted
Moderator: Rhiannon Silverflame says: "Oooh! Drag queen!"
Moderator: Vicki says: "haha" Adrienne: Ya- you have to.
Moderator: Jaspar & [[Annie]] says: "" oooh Work it baby! " LOLOl"
Adrienne: TV shows film so quickly- almost no rehersal- that you have to do as much prep work as possible- and be able to call up emotions right on the spot
Adrienne: even if they are lighting you- or doing make up checks etc- so you take any moment you have to make sure you have all the dialogue and that your emotions are in the right place
Moderator: Breen says: "Do you try to 'get into your character' like a method acting, or do you just take it as it comes?"
Adrienne: All of the crew is usaully laughing and having a good time- so if it is an emotional scene it is especially important to be able to block everything out and get to where you need to be.
.....including method acting.

Moderator: Angel of Darkness says: "how was the scene of xena dragging gab thru the mud in motherhood, did u guys laugh?"
Adrienne: No- not for livia- I could never live that way- which method acting implies. She is SO much fun to play- but not actually like me very much in real life. so I had to completely make distictions between the two.
Adrienne continues talking about acting.
TRANSCRIPT:
Moderator: Vicki says: "Is Eve gonna have re-occurences of her Livia-esness?"
Adrienne: Sometimes you have to go as far as youcan to make a character or just to be able to find that character- but Livia came from pure emotion that I had- I sort of based her on an angry misunderstood teenager- really frustrated and posative that she is right
Adrienne: it sort of all fell into place from there- but when they yelled cut- I was a totally different person
Moderator: Rhiannon Silverflame says: "Does that get emotionally tiring after a while, or is it something you're used to?"
Moderator: The Xena Elf says: "alter ego..."
Adrienne answers the question about Eve.
TRANSCRIPT:
Adrienne: Ooh I hope so- at least in some form- I don't really know what all might be up 'eves sleeves' but I would jump at the chance for her to have yet another change of heart or be lured back so the dark side for some reason- I think it woud be great to have
Adrienne: her faith tested and see the seduction of the dark side again... who knows though- I can only hope something is in the works
She is asked again whether she will appear in future episodes. The conversation about Eve continues.

Moderator: Marilyn(TRBL007) says: "are you going to NZ to film any more eps?"
Adrienne: Occationally its tiring- Anytime you do anything that really stretches you- its both an amazing catharsis and very freeing- but also VERY exhausting
Adrienne: I know that I will film at least one more ep- no idea after that - I guess it depends on what the story line will be to the end of the year
Moderator: ButterCup says: "maybe u could kiss kevin again lol"
Adrienne: HA ha
Moderator: ALWheaties says: "What other characters would you like to work with on the show that you haven't yet?"
Adrienne: Unfortunatly when I lost my livia identity- I think he lost his interest in me!!!1
Moderator: ButterCup says: "haahaaa"
Moderator: Breen says: "lol "
Moderator: Mistress Spear says: "hehe, he may try to turn you back ; )"
Adrienne: ooh- I would love to be able to do some kind of flashback episode where I would be introduced to the people that Xena destroyed- something where I am learning about my mother and maybe making opinions about her choices and actions- I think that would be
Adrienne: a cool mother daughter conflict to watch unfold
Moderator: ALWheaties says: "that would be neat! :)"
Moderator: Rhiannon Silverflame says: "That does sound like a great idea."
Moderator: Deargicca says: "That would be good. Only mother and daughter could identify completely. "
Adrienne: Beacuse really I've only know my mom for a few months- there are so many things I don't know about her
Moderator: Rohan says: "or the fact that Eve is now older than Gabrielle too"
Adrienne: Ya- I asked Ren once how old they were supposed to be on the show she said "we are young women"- so I wasn't sure if she was older or not- I certainly made the choice to look up to her- both from her wisdom/experince and just because of the pre-existing
Adrienne: relationship- I'm the new kid- and I should't step on peoples toes
